The Affreux are a species of dangerous carnivores native to Betelgeuse-6. When the human colonists first encountered them they tried to shoot them, but it was a waste of ammunition. The simplest method is to take shelter and wait for them to pass through the village, if they linger too long the colonists would release a Bear Cub a predator that is very dangerous to the beasts.
